Travel Safer With Royal Destinations
Posted by admin | Monday, June 1, 2020
Our hearts go out to all those affected by COVID-19 around the world—both those directly impacted as well as those trying to navigate the effects of the measures your local community may be taking. It is a challenging time and we are all in this together.
In the midst of so much uncertainty, there is one promise we know to be true, we will be here for you and your family in the days, the weeks, and the months to come. When you’re comfortable with traveling and are ready to get away, our team will be here to welcome you to our beautiful beaches; keeping the safety of you, your family, and our team as our top priority.
It is our hope that once you arrive, you’re able to sit back, relax, and leave your worries at the door before entering your vacation home. To help, we’re answering a few common questions so that you’re able to travel with peace of mind.
We Can’t Wait to Welcome You to The Beaches of 30A
As our world is adapting to a ‘new normal’, 30A is doing the same. While it is still the same place you know and love, there are a few details that might be different from what you’ve experienced in the past. To help prepare you for your upcoming stay, we’re sharing a few updates on what to expect as well as some great resources to lean on prior to your arrival and during your stay.
We’ve Updated Our Housekeeping Procedures
Cleanliness and safety have always been our top priority for you, our guest. With that in mind, we’ve implemented additional practices to achieve the highest level of cleanliness and sanitization recommended by the CDC.
The CDC has established guidelines to curb the spread of COVID-19 through surface contamination. We will pay special attention to high touch areas, including door knobs, handles, light switches, remote controls, and the like. The handling of linen and terry will continue to follow our current processes, as the conventional washing of laundry is sufficient to prevent contamination.
We have no reason to believe that any of our homes are or have been contaminated; however, we're taking all necessary precautions to eliminate surface contamination. We've reinforced the CDC's guidelines for cleaning recommendations and have implemented the VRHP/VRMA Cleaning Guidelines for COVID-19 with each of our housekeeping teams. Follow this link for a full list of CDC cleaning guidelines.
We’ve Moved To A More Relaxed Cancellation Policy
What does this mean for you? Rather than feeling as though you need to make an immediate decision regarding your upcoming travel plans, you will have extra time to decide what is best for you and your family. We’re working with our guests on a case-by-case basis and have processed hundreds of cancellations as well as rescheduled reservations for a later time, depending on what works best for our guests. We will continue to be flexible as long as COVID-19 affects our community and our guests.
Please contact our Destination Specialists via email at email@example.com or by phone at 850-534-0841 to discuss available options regarding your upcoming reservation(s).
Local 30A Updates
Our local grocery stores are working hard to keep their shelves well stocked and sanitized for each customer and employee. Just like your local grocer, some items remain scarce especially since we’re a relatively small town. In order to ensure that you have every item you need during your stay, we encourage you to bring ‘must have’ supplies with you. (A couple of items that have been challenging to come by are paper towels and toilet tissue.) Please contact stores directly for current hours of operation, as many have temporarily changed.
We would also encourage you to bring your own PPE as some community restaurants and retailers are requiring their customers to use such equipment. This varies widely in the community, though, so if you are unable to do so you won’t necessarily be missing out on the rest of what 30A has to offer.
As we’re sure you’ve experienced in your hometown, our community holds a variety of opinions on travel, quarantine, and public safety. While much of 30A is as excited to welcome back our guests as we are, some of our community is slower to adopt the steps being taken as we move towards our new state of normalcy; please be extra sensitive to all 30A residents during your stay.
Are The Beaches Open?
Yes! The beautiful beaches of South Walton opened to the public on May 1, 2020. The Walton County Sheriff’s office has pledged to maintain the safety of our residents and guests alike, by ensuring social distancing guidelines are followed - in effort to ensure our white sandy beaches remain open. Please be conscious and respectful of the social distancing guidelines set by the CDC - current social distancing guidelines can be found by visiting the CDC online.
Visit South Walton, our local Tourism Development Center, is the best resource for real time 30A updates! Here’s the link for the latest COVID-19 travel updates along 30A, including restaurant operations and local events.
We ask that you continue following all guidelines set by the CDC to minimize the spread of COVID-19. If you’re not feeling well or if you or your family are traveling from a hotspot, set by the CDC or as designated by the Governor of the State of Florida, please consider rescheduling your visit to our beautiful beaches at a later date. Follow this link for a full list of guidelines set by the CDC. Don’t forget to wash your hands!
If you have additional questions prior to your arrival, please reach out to our team via email (firstname.lastname@example.org) or by phone at 850-534-0841. We are available 7 days a week and happy to assist.
We look forward to welcoming you and your family to the beach! Travel safely.
