Seaside is so unique that it has drawn the eye of Hollywood. The Truman Show, starring Jim Carrey, was filmed here in 1997, and a portion of the proceeds went to build a charter school. The result was the quaint little campus of the Seaside Neighborhood School. The village also has its own theater – the Seaside Repertory Theater. Where else can you take in a fun send-up of Shakespeare’s comedies on Tuesday a great band on Friday? You’ll never forget a performance at this funky little venue.
