Awesome unit and location. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. My only suggestions are to fix the water pressure both in the tub and the walk-in shower in the master bathroom. The pressure in the tub shoots out like a high powered fire hose, splashing water everywhere. The shower is just the opposite. Hardly any pressure. Also the shower head could be replaced. Seems outdated.

Great place other than the weather was pretty bad. did not get tot use or see much of the property due to rain and storms. Was looking forward to the fitness center also but was informed we were not allowed to use it as renters so that was a bummer since it was listed in the rental info online.

The place and location are perfect. Being on the west side of Compass Point one you really get to enjoy the sunsets from your balcony.. The place is well decorated and maintained. Garage parking is another benefit of Compass Point One.

This condo has plenty of space for small parties with one king bed in the master suite and two queen beds in the guest bedroom. There is plenty of room in the living room and a westward facing private balcony that overlooks the Gulf of Mexico which catches amazing sunsets daily. The vacation rental was better than we expected!The furnishings and location were wonderful. There was a lightbulb out in the master bath and several electrical outlets that were not working. Besides that we would definitely rent this unit again!

Royal Destinations was able to add a third bike rental for us (also extra charge, but worth it). Comfy beds. Layout was ideal for our needs, with two bathrooms and two bedrooms, one with two queen beds. Garage parking spot kept the car cool. Would book again for sure!

Great Stay and Location!

We have been staying at Compass Point several times over the years and have always enjoyed our trips. We recently stayed early September 2019 and found the unit in great shape. Only issue was we found hair on the sheets on the master bed and when we stripped the sheets to wash them found boxer briefs in them. Pretty gross. Aside from that we had a great stay! We used the bikes for a bike ride and aired up the tires from their low 20s PSI up to the recommended 65 PSI on the tire wall. The pool is just across the parking lot and it is a 5 minute walk down the boardwalk to the beach. Watersound is a great community and it is alot of fun to walk around and look at the houses and also a short bike ride to Alys Beach, Rosemary Beach or Seaside!

The condo even provided fans which you never see in rentals. We were very sad to leave. Great Condo, Great View

We stayed for a few days in September 2018 and really enjoyed the condo and location. Compass Point is directly across from the Dunesider Pool and the views from the unit's balcony are ideal. The Watersound community is kept so pristine, the boardwalks to the beach are very scenic. We took advantage of sea kayak and yolo board rentals at the beach and did not want to leave when our stay was up! Looking forward to another future restful and fun vacation. The unit and Royal Destinations does not disappoint. Definitely would recommend to stay here!

We've stayed all over 30A & this was by far our most relaxing & comfortable stay. The condo is tucked back in the quiet neighborhood, yet close to everything. Not only is the unit beautiful but the views from every window of the ocean of breathtaking. We were steps to the beach & could see it when we were inside. The balcony is perfect to watch sunset & the pool is right in front of the unit as well. The decor was beautiful & we had everything that we needed for a great vacation.

The condo was lovely and worked very well for us. The cooktop was very difficult to use and with such a lovely view from the balcony it would have been nice to have comfortable chairs vs the bar and backless stools. Would recommend exhaust fans in the baths-especially the one that opens into the den. We will rent this unit again!!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay as this is a great property in Watersound which we absolute love to stay at. Well supplied condo, great views of the ocean and you can see the community pool from the deck. As other reviewers have mentioned, the dials on the stove to turn on and off the burners have had all the markings worn off so it's a guessing game as to which way to turn the dial to turn on a burner. Turning the dial clockwise turns the burner on high. Otherwise, problem free stay...looking forward to coming back in the future!

After years of staying at other locations along 30a, this was - by far - the best. Several other places have become overrun with crowds, congestion, and commotion. It was great to find a gated community with rental condos right on the beach. We loved this unit and would definitely return.

Spring break 2016 Stay in Watersound

We booked this property last minute for spring break. The condo was beautifully decorated and equipped. Beds were comfortable and despite the construction of homes very close by, the noise level was tolerable. The only minor complaints would be dust bunnies under some of the furniture, the Viking stove and oven were confusing to use as the temperature gauges are worn off. Also the stacked washer and dryer are very noisy with the dryer taking over 1 1/2 hrs to dry our beach towels. Overall these are minor annoyances and I would consider staying at the condo again. On the plus side the condo came with two bikes and two beach chairs and umbrella setup daily and waiting for us at the beach. We love staying in the Watersound community.

A Perfect Stay on 30A

The unit, property location, and the Watersound area were just as described on the reservation website. The actual unit was spotless and well maintained. There was plenty of room in the unit to spread out after a stressful day relaxing on the beach. ?? The reservation folks were first class. Very friendly and helpful. They checked-in on us several times during our stay to ensure we were happy with everything (the unit, property, beach set-ups, bikes, etc.). They even sent us an e-mail with suggestions of indoor things to do in the area when the weather did not co-operate for beach activities. When a couple of lights in the unit burned-out, the maintenance folks arrived and installed new bulbs within a few minutes....very prompt and friendly service. I would definitely recommend this property to a friend or relative. Plenty of great restaurants and bars along 30A to chose from. Be sure to visit the town square at Seaside (you can ride your bikes there along the 30A bike trails). Very fun. I played golf several time during my visit. Many challenging courses in the area.

We really enjoyed our stay, as usual, at Compass Point in Watersound! This was our first time in this condo, 3rd or 4th time staying with Royal Beach. The condo was well appointed and you would never know it was a Pet-Friendly property. Such a huge asset to find, especially within Watersound with so few available pet properties. Love the location, especially that it was not so crowded. Royal was very professional and made sure we had everything we needed. Walk down the boardwalk through the dunes and you are on the beach in a couple of minutes with beach chairs waiting for you. Bikes were great to explore. Views from the balcony were nice even at sunset. There is a little building going on in the immediate area but that is to be expected in a resort development where lots are still available. The unit was nice and comfy; the dryer did not dry completely and the bed in the master bedroom was a little lumpy but overall it was nice and had plenty of room and was very well kept.

Water sound is a beautiful community! The condo was gorgeous & had everything we needed to enjoy a relaxing 9 days! Guest services was extremely helpful they even had to let us in when I forgot my key ;) our children & pets that are our other children had a wonderful time. We rode bikes and took longs walks everyday. Not to mention the beach we had all to ourselves. My son learned to surf & really enjoyed the water. Everyone we met was warm & welcoming in the community to our family & our dogs. The only thing that wasn't perfect was the construction noise but I guess other people want to enjoy the community as well. I would highly recommend it!

Watersound is much quieter than Seaside and Rosemary mainly becuase it is gated off and does not have a town center. Also much more scenic. This is exactly what we wanted for our family vacation.

#302 was a very comfortable unit with a fantastic view. We definitely stay there again. Royal Beach could not of been nicer. They received mail and FedX packages for us and promptly let us know when they had arrived.

Fall Break in Watersound Compass Point

Great property on the water with excellent beach and sunset views. The property rental group, Royal, was excellent. They set the bar for all other companies and I strongly recommend them. I have been visiting 30-A for a decade and they are so much better at managing the entire experience than any other companies down there as I have used all of them. I strongly recommend them. We are returning in early May and will book with them again.

Lovely Home, Fabulous Views & Perfect Location

It was a privilege to stay in this beautiful home on this gorgeous stretch of beach. The location was fantastic, with easy access to the beach & pool with plenty of parking, including one covered space. The furnishings were classy, up-to-date & well-kept. We would happily stay here again, & we own a five-bedroom beach house on the Atlantic Ocean!

Nice stay could use some cosmetic/maintenance work.

The condo was very nice overall.Having said that there were a few small issues. The most important issue was the AC. The management had placed a sign next to the thermostat stating that setting the temp lower than 72 was prohibited due to the fact that it would damage the AC unit if set that low.The real problem was that the AC unit is too small and that the proper maintenance hadn't been done (the filter was 6 months old/replace date written on filter).Some of the walls needed paint and some of the bedding/pillows needed replacing. The clean up crew also needed to vacuum and dust a bit better (lots of sand and dust bunnies). Overall once we replaced the AC filter the unit was fine but would have been nice to not see and feel the sand and dust.

Excellent Property

We have stayed along 30A for several years, but never in a condo. I have to say that this was super!!! The garage and access were extremely convenient and the entire building was well planned. There was NO NOISE from other units and the building was quiet and peaceful. The unit was well stocked, and there were more than enough towels and wash cloths provided. We took the beach club option BUT IT WAS UNNECESSARY-the dunesider pool was great and right outside. All that I have read about the "long walk" to the beach was not true. It is very, very close. You walk over one dune. Golf cart is not needed from this unit. The only complaint I can come up with is that there is no outside shower coming in from the beach. There is a small faucet to rinse your feet outside of the pool area, but if your kids are totally sandy, you are out of luck. We took along a small plastic pitcher and filled it to rinse well. Seaside and Rosemary beach have 2 showers on both boardwalks. The other thing is the master bathroom rug. It is a large sort of shag rug that does not look like it can be washed in between guest. We simply placed a towel over it. But overall, it is a fantastic, quiet, beautiful beach without crowds. We have found a new beach to come to.

We have been coming to the area for over 15 years. This was our first stay at Watersound and we absolutely loved it. Beautiful beach and stunning views,somewhat secluded. Our unit was a short walk to the beach on the boardwalk. Only a few negatives; not enough shade at the pool,if it would have been busy there would not be enough chairs,the unit was beautiful but I would not recommend it for small children as a few of us scratched our legs on sharp table glass,the dishwasher did not work while we were there and we cook most of our meals, though we made due with paper products, there were still a lot of dishes to wash. It had to be replaced which happened at dinner time on one of our last days taking several hours, a total bummer. Was hoping we might be offered a discount for the inconveniences, but no.Overall this was a wonderful vacation, we would highly recommend it and will definitely come back. Also love the fact that Watersound has some rentals that are pet friendly!

Watersound does offer 4 community pools but you also have access to the Beach Club for a fee. This might be a great option for your next visit to help with the limited shade and chairs. On occassion things might happen that are out of our control, but we will try the best we can to make sure it does not interfere with your vacation. A great stay

We loved our stay, and the overall property. It feels spacious and peaceful, the beaches are incredible. Bike rides, puttering, pooling, sunsets and moonrises in the dunes. We got to see the super moon. A couple of suggestions for this property....change out the bathroom rugs and price this place a little more competitively. We rented it simply because other properties were booked for a wedding.

Spring Break 2012 - Compass Point

If you don't mind paying higher prices for higher quality this is an absolutely beautiful condo! Nicer appliances (WOLF) than I have ever seen in a vacation rental. Hardwood floors and marble bath, a beautiful balcony and covered parking underneath the building. Just a thought: If you have rowdy middle schoolers or kiddies who like to pick up stuff this may not be the condo for you. But if you are a couple looking to get away or have older kids you can not beat this rental! A little far back from the Gulf but beautiful view of the dunes. Very close to a wonderful pool that is only 4ft deep. No kiddie pool. (Could use more chairs and loungers) Pretty good hike to the beach (on a wooden walkway built over the dunes) but once you get there WOW what a pretty beach. Urge you to rent bikes and ride down to Seaside (4 miles) and spend the day. Be ready for a workout. The ride down and back is about 9.5 miles on a great bike trail. But plenty of places to stop rest, shop or eat on the way. Compass Point is a quiet place with not much happening which could be a problem if you have teens. That's why we planned 2 days of golf and visits to Destin and Panama City Beach to keep them entertained. To sum it up we would go back there in a heartbeat!

Nice Family Place to Stay

The property was very nice and the balconey views are excellent, expecially at sunset. The only problem we had was at check in when the attendant was extremely rude and unhelpful. Because of that, even though we liked the property, I doubt we will give the rental company another chance. We have been treated great by the two other companies we have used for rentals at Watersound.
