Seagrove Beach got its name from the abundant groves of oak trees along the Gulf. One of the original hamlets along Scenic Highway 30A, it began as a cluster of quaint, shaded cottages at the end of a sandy, winding road from U.S. Highway 98. Today the roads are paved, but the sand grass and the oak groves remain.
Situated at the midway point of the 30A corridor, Seagrove is a blend of old Florida charm and modern-day convenience. It borders the village of Seaside to the west which allows for easy-as-can-be access to Alys, Rosemary and Inlet Beaches to the east.
