143 Forest was a really nice place to stay. The location is great, only two blocks to Seaside proper and two blocks to the beach. However, this place needs a lot of love. The white sofas are very dirty with wine stains and other stains on them. While this sort of thing doesn't bother me, it might bother you. One of the upstairs bedrooms has ZERO places to put your clothes. There are no chest of drawers or any sort of hooks . Also, in the bathroom for this bedroom there are nothing to hang wet towels or bathing suits. Nothing, no towel racks either. Very strange. There are two porches on the second floor; one of them has two chairs and a little table, the other porch has nothing! No place to sit, totally empty. Again, very strange. Be warned that the third floor bedroom is very small and has no coverings on the many windows. There's no way anyone but children could fit up there. The sofa bed is beyond horrible. Mattress is ancient and super thin and super dirty. Also, we counted 32 dinner plates, 25 salad plates and only ONE wine glass in the whole house. There were 8 other glasses, very weird. The pictures of the pool made it seem larger, be warned that it is super tiny, really only a dipping pool. Air conditioning worked well as did the washer and dryer. There's only a very small table to eat meals, no dining room or large table. very strange design. There are chairs to sit in by the pool but they all have cushions which were always wet, so basically no seating outside, except for the picnic table. I know how negative this must sound, but I've stayed in many homes here and it's very helpful to me to read very detailed reviews when I'm trying to decide which house to pick. All this being said, we had a wonderful week, none of this stuff mattered to us at all. The management were super helpful to work with.

This house was in a great location. Walking distance to downtown Seaside and the beach. Quick drive to Publix. The decor and fixtures were beautiful. Like others reviews stated though, it’s very worn. It’s so strange because the house itself is nice and the decor is beautiful, but everything was a mess. Dings in the walls, torn carpet, cabinet doors off the hinges, a grill that needs to be replaced(it comes on but that’s about it). It was also not very clean. With check in being later and check out being earlier due to “cleanliness due to covid), I was disappointed in how clean the house actually was. Floors were dirty, bathrooms were just okay. If the issues were addressed with this home(new grill, cleaned throughly, minor upgrades made), we would definitely stay again. The house is in a great location and the Royal Destinations Staff were very prompt and courteous. The house was in poor condition for the amount paid and expectations. So many doors were off of hinges and unknown until you opened and they fell off. Much of the design makes no sense with doors hitting shower heads or other structures. No one ever said a bathroom should be in a dining room immediately next to the kitchen table. That's just gross and poor design. We used it as a pantry since there was not one. How would you ever house 14 people and not need a pantry. The day area/bedroom needs a new pull out. The poor person that slept on that wafer thin bent excuse of a bed has to be hurting. The master and 2 queen bedrooms were fine, almost nice.Overall, its obvious this is just a rental. No owner that utilizes a stay away at the beach would keep it in this condition.

The house was nice and big enough for our group to have their own space. It has certainly been well-loved and really needs to be updated with new paint, slip covers and rugs as the textiles are very stained. I was disappointed in the overall cleanliness of the property, both inside and out. I won’t go into detail but it was obvious that attention wasn’t given to many areas. The location can’t be beat and we definitely enjoyed going to the beach and surrounding areas in the golf carts.

Well Loved House in a great location

Let me start by saying the location of this house is ideal. Publix is less than a mile away and most things are a very short bike ride. We rarely used our vehicle. The house has more than enough bathrooms. The master bed was very comfortable and the shower was great. You can tell the house has been well loved by guests for many years. There was paint chipping on the banister and the living room couch wasn’t very comfortable and really needs to be replaced. My other main complaint was the outdoor furniture really should be replaced. The pool furniture had cigarette burns and was pretty dated and rough. The rooftop deck one of my big selling points has useless furniture. It was uncomfortable to sit on and felt like it might fall apart at any minute. It was unfortunate to not really be able to take advantage of this space. The pool deck also had a major fire ant problem.Again none of this ruined our stay, I guess I just expected a little more R this price point.If I was renting I’d consider this property just on location alone but I would look for other options first.

The house looked beautiful inside as shown on the website photos. However, the pool I the front of the house next to the street so there wasn't much privacy. But, the worst thing was that the street was so dusty the the patio around the pool was covered with dust. I have been to the Seaside and Seagrove Beach area many times. I needed a larger home to house 10 ladies, some I have not seen in over 10 years. It was plenty big, but the kitchen was bit small and lack certain things that usually find in less pricy rentals. We had to run the washer and dryer daily after a day at the beach and everyone showering. It needed more bath towels per each bathrooms, only 4 coffee mugs and the rest were espresso size cups. More wine glasses would’ve been great. Also, a martini shaker, serving platter and salt and pepper in the pantry would be nice. ( There were empty salt and pepper shakers in the cabinet)The bathroom cabinet cabinet knobs were missing in the master bath. Upstairs bath light bulbs were too dim to put make up on. BUT THE WORST OF ALL, was the 1st floor AC UNIT WENT OUT on Saturday and they had to replace the entire unit. We had too many people staying and too many things to pack up for another rental. So, we decided to stay.( We were not offered an another rental either.) The property management was very diligent to have the AC guys put a new one in by Sunday evening. But, 9 women in their 50-60s could not get cooled for 36 hours when the interior temperature was 80+ in mid August in South Florida summer. Despite, all the issues, we had a great time and made lots of happy memories. But, I would not stay here again.There are plenty of rentals at the same price that is convenient to everything but with better amenities. I think I will speak to the management on the phone for a partial refund.

This house has been well loved and has left guests with plenty of good memories. 143 Forest boasts 3 stories in Sea Grove Beach and a private pool that allows guests to come back and cool off after a long day at the beach. Most of Old Sea Grove still has dirty roads and this adds to the old Florida feel. Guests enjoy being within walking distance to the beach and Seaside. For a home that sleeps 14 people and that is in an ideal location along 30-A you won't find a better priced home than 143 Forest. Yes this home has been well loved, but plenty of guests have enjoyed this home and made memories that will last a life time. We apologize for the inconvenience of the AC issues during your stay, but we are glad that we were able to install a brand new unit the next day. Issues that occur like this are out of our control, but we understand that this negatively effected you and your party and we were happy to work with you on a partial refund for AC issues that occurred during your stay. We will be sure to express your concerns to the home owner and do an inventory check during the off season. "You were great at your service and having someone come over and adjust the viewing of the TV. The living room and master bedroom TVs are located inside armoires that would not open enough for everyone in the room to see the TV. I requested that the doors be removed and the man that you sent over was very polite and helpful. The house did not seem to be up to your normal standards. I have rented properties through Royal Destinations before and been very pleased the quality of the homes. The rugs were very stained and marks on the door and some walls. The furniture in the living area was stained and the seating cushions were old and uncomfortable. The cushions in the eating area were stained and the table had scratched paint. The wood was chipped on the front door. The outdoor furniture was very old and had cigarette burns. There was a container of used cigarette buds left on the outside table."

My family and I had a wonderful stay at 143 Forest! Each room is well-appointed with bedding and bathroom linens. The kitchen is small but sufficient for a our family. I was concerned that there was very little dining space but we managed with all of the additional seating, including outdoors. Since the weather was cooler than expected, we chose to heat the pool during our stay- best decision!! My family used the pool every afternoon after the beach. Lastly, Royal Destinations called the day of check-in and one other day as a courtesy. Thank you for the wonderful week!

143 Forest Street looked exactly like the pictured. The concierge was attentive to our questions and fixed a couple things that were broken immediately. We loved this house and it’s access to Seagrove and Seaside. The pool is a great feature and we used it twice daily since the waves during our stay were huge. The bedroom setup is great for 2 large families or 2-3 small families. The major downfall for ya was the house 10’ away being built during our stay-construction begins at 7am-not really vacation mode. The property management company and the owner were very apologetic and as helpful as possible. If you aren’t an early riser I wouldn’t rent this house the 2018 summer-once the home next door is finished this property will be practically perfect. This house does NOT have a dining table to fit the number of people that can stay there. I’d suggest getting rid of the dated patio furniture and buying a really large outdoor dining table as well as the 2 dining chairs in the home are cheap and very flimsy. Overall a good stay and while I’m not sure we’d come back to this particular home we will definitely use the property company again.

We absolutely loved the place and the proximity to the town and the beach. The pool was dirty when we checked in and the TVs weren't working. The beach chair company also missed our reservation on the first day. Overall, it didn't take away from our experience and Royal Destinations was very professional and helpful. Beautiful house in a great location - close to the beach, shops, Seaside, and Watercolor. Perfect for our large group of 3 families. We really enjoyed the bikes, pool, and patio. The house was just as it appeared in the photos and property management was excellent. The kitchen could use a few more basic items - colander, garlic press, water glasses, tongs, etc. A large gathering table would have been nice for group dinners.

This is a nice rental. Private bathrooms off of 3 of the rooms made for a comfortable stay in this well-stocked home. The kitchen had 99% of what anyone would need. There are a a few items of need of repair like loose knobs, burned out light bulbs, etc, but we thoroughly enjoyed our time in this home. We had 6 adults and 3 kids ranging from 1-yr to 15-yrs. Everyone was able to sleep comfortably and the short access distance from Seaside Proper and the beach was great. They did put our complimentary beach rentals a different beach access than we were told, but after we figured it out, it wasn't a problem. This home is a good value for location, size, and accommodations. I would tell a friend about it.

Very nice rental. Perfect location. Royal was on top of things and communicated nicely on check in, pool heat and a tv glitch we encountered. Here are some suggestions: Stove top takes forever to cook and boil water even on main heating element. On windy day, tree next to first floor bedroom runs on siding and is loud when trying to sleep. Really enjoyed our stay and will rent from them again!

We enjoyed our stay over Thanksgiving with our sons and their wives. The house was a great location for walking to the beach and to the town. It suited our family. I would say however the sink was clogged and the serviceman said a new disposal should be installed after we leave. Some light bulbs had burned out and we replaced them ourselves. Those type things should be addressed before someone comes to stay for a week. This is the first time we had ever rented and we certainly will again.

Pros-The house has ample sleeping and bathrooms. The location can't be beat. About a 5 minute walk to Seaside and the beach.Cons-For the amount of money we spent we felt the up keep on the house left a lot to be desired. The weeds were literally hanging into the pool and lining the driveway. Upon entering, there were spider webs that we had to clean up. I would recommend them treating the house because we did see a few bugs during our stay. The top floor bathroom has some mold on the walls around the ceiling. The hot water wasn't hot the first night. I called and they sent someone to address the problem the next day. I mentioned to them about how bad the yard looked and didn't get a response.

This home is amazing, and the perfect place for friends to gather! We traveled with three families, 6 adults and 5 kids/young adults, and everyone had plenty of room. We appreciated having private baths for each bedroom (including the pull-out sofa in the extended living room),and all slept comfortably. The house is lovely, appointed in upscale beach decor, equipped with a television in every room, and there are plenty of ceiling fans. The view from the crow's nest at sunset should not be missed! The kitchen is well stocked, and we took advantage of the new outdoor grill. The pool is not large, but we all agreed it was plenty big for us, and we enjoyed being able to come in from the beach and still enjoy fun in the water into the evening hours. The Dogwood beach access is only two short blocks away (5 minute walk), and downtown Seaside is a very pleasant, quick jaunt up Forest to Seaside Avenue. The kids appreciated being able to walk or bike downtown on their own in this safe community. We have traveled to Seaside many times over the years, and can honestly say Royal Destinations is the best rental company we have ever worked with! Jenny and Ashley were prompt in responding to our questions and had a couple of minor issues addressed immediately. We highly recommend downloading their app--it makes communication easy, and has links to activities, restaurants, weather, etc. The exemplary customer service will have us returning to Royal Destinations for 30A rentals in the future. This home is very beautiful. Location to beach, food and shopping are in walking or bike riding distance. We enjoyed the convenience of the on property pool. The one thing I missed was a place to store groceries. No pantry in this home. The management company was good. Booking was easy and the cost transparent. Some rentals add on and on for one thing or another. I would recommend this home highly.

This house is spectacular! It is beautifully decorated ... just the perfect beach house! I would best explain the sleeping arrangement as enough space for 4 couples (one on a sleeper sofa) and 6 kids/teenagers. Each of the rooms has it's own balcony which makes it nice for everyone to have a place for privacy. The location of the beach and entertainment is perfect for teenagers. The staff was very helpful. I would definitely rent this house again!

We have absolutely fallen in love with the Seaside/Watercolor area and staying in a beautiful and conveniently located home just adds to our getaway experience. 143 Forest is perfect! Our three boys loved the funky upper bunk room... and the additional adorable 2-bunk room on the 2nd floor is perfect for a bigger party. The decor is beautiful and is likely influenced by Tracery in Rosemary Beach. And the pool (we requested to have it heated for a nominal additional fee due to our stay being in Feb) and the 4 bikes on property added to the fun. We basically biked everywhere and LOVE the miles of nearby trails. We enjoyed the Taco Bar, the Airstream gourmet food trucks, Pickles, Great Southern, Borago, The Broken Egg and The Red Bar in Greyton Beach. For shopping... all of the shops in Seaside/Watercolor are great... and we enjoyed exploring Rosemary Beach, Alys Beach and Greyton (for those who like home decor... check out Beau in Greyton). The staff at Royal Destinations can't be beat. Super courteous and attentive in every way! We can't wait to return!

Enjoyed this house very much, particularly the easy walking distance to the beach and Seaside village. The house was beautifully decorated! My only suggestions for improvement would be to increase the heat for showers as the water did not get very warm, have some basic spices like salt and pepper and add some cooking pans. Also you may want to consider changing the fencing so that you can enter the house without setting the pool alarm off. We found the management company professional and check in and check out easy.

We will test the water temperature and adjust from there, as well as take another inventory of cookware. The pool was just added Spring of 2016, so the fencing around it is also new. However, to enter/exit the home without setting off the alarm, you simply press the button prior to opening the door. There is a button both inside and outside the property! The house was amazing - beautifully decorated. It's close to seaside and publix etc so we rented mopeds and a golf cart that were perfect for getting us around. The bikes there are also a way to get around. Loved it!!!

Perfect Location! Fantastic bathrooms! All rooms own balcony! Pool!Great staff and help!The lighting in bathrooms Is not good. A few of the cabinets were loose and 1 fell off. It really! Needs a full length mirror. An a screwdriver was needed so we could handle easy repairs.

Great house for a big group. Nice patio and pool area. House was beautiful and the location was good for the beach and Seaside. Screened in porch great in evenings. There were some issues. Some were fixed quickly, others were reported to be fixed after we left - loose towel bars and door knobs, pool light not working, one cabinet door hinge loose, leak in one second floor tub. Overall very nice spot.

The rental house was gorgeous! Spacious with a pool (great for late day/evening) and each bedroom had its own balcony! The house is a few blocks from 30A and the neighborhood is lovely with lots of mature trees. It was about a 3-4 walk to the beach and a 7-8 min walk to Seaside. The rental also came with 4 bikes and 1 umbrella and 2 beach chairs that were reserved on the beach for us each day. It was absolutely perfect!!
