We had a wonderful stay here! There were 10 of us, moms and daughters, and we loved the location and the spacious living area/kitchen as well as the private beach access. That was a game changer for not having to lug beach gear all the way into the room each day. Outdoor shower and storage area there was fantastic. Home came with everything we needed and more! Plenty of parking too. We are already talking about returning with our families!service was also top notch - great communication before, during, and after!

We love this little house. Plenty of space for a one level home with an unobstructed view of the gorgeous Gulf waters. We love being able to walk down the porch steps and into the sand. It is conveniently located and near a lot of local restaurants and a Publix grocery store.

"Ashore Thing" is a “sure thing”. We love this property. We have been coming to the 30A area for 4 years and this was the best accommodations and experience we have had. As they say... "location, location, location" is the key. This well-maintained one-story home is right on the beach. It has a very spacious front yard with plenty of room of paved parking. The deck on the beach side of the house is huge and very well maintained. The deck was the best feature of the house. The deck chairs and chaise lounges were very comfortable and sturdy. They were great for sunbathing and watching sunsets on the deck. The deck has a wonderful, covered picnic table that is great for lunches and dinners. We used the outdoor grill to cook out on the deck several nights. We loved sitting out on the beach or on the deck for the gorgeous sunsets. The sand and beach are spectacular and very well kept. Lots of Pelicans flew over the house and deck all day. It was fun watching them fishing in the surf. We saw dolphins and other marine wildlife in the surf from the beach and deck. The kitchen is well laid out and designed and a pleasure to cook in. There is a large dining area and bar area with seating for everyone. The TV/Audio Visual System in the house is impressive and very easy to use. We loved the large couch, and it was very comfortable for binge watching on the very large TV in the living room. All of the roomy bedrooms and bathrooms are well designed and a pleasure to stay in and use. The beds were very comfortable, and the bedding was of high quality. The house was VERY clean and well maintained. We felt very safe at this property. The complimentary bicycles, beach chairs and umbrella set up were a nice touch. The Royal Destinations staff were always very interested and helpful. They were a delight to work with. They were very eager to make our experience the best we’d ever had .... and they did. We will be coming back to this property many times....

Location, Location, Location!

This house is great for 2 families. We went with our best friends that have kids that grew up with mine. Our last two are going off to college next month so it was a great place to celebrate and have our last trip together before everyone is spread throughout the country at different schools.The open floor plan was great for the boys to play games and spread out while the girls could chill out on the back porch right in front of the beautiful white sand beaches and clear water. Beach Front location cannot be beat! Just a walk down the back stairs and you are on the beach in an uncrowded area. We could come in and out for lunch, snacks, or just a beach break with zero effort getting back to the house. No cars. Bikes, or golf carts needed, except to go to dinner. There are 2 bikes provided if you’d like to use them. We loved hanging out on the back porch after a day at the beach to cool off before dinner. Ashorething is close to many great restaurants in Rosemary Beach, Inlet, Seagrove, and Grayton beaches.The team and especially our contact Shaun at Royal Destinations were on top of keeping in touch with us for any information we would need. Also, our questions were answered promptly. Fantastic customer service!There is only 1 thing I’d suggest. The house is vey hard to find at night for Ubers or door dashers. We even passed it a few times after being out because there are no markers around or near the driveway. A sign, reflectors, or a flag would help. However the privacy is great and this is not a complaint, just a thought.I’d give Ashorething a 5 out of 5 stars and would definitely stay there again.

We used the outdoor grill to cook out on the deck several nights. We loved sitting out on the beach or on the deck for the gorgeous sunsets. The sand and beach are spectacular and very well kept. Lots of Pelicans flew over the house and deck all day. It was fun watching them fishing in the surf. We saw dolphins and other marine wildlife in the surf from the beach and deck. The kitchen is well laid out and designed and a pleasure to cook in. There is a large dining area and bar area with seating for everyone. The TV/Audio Visual System in the house is impressive and very easy to use. We loved the large couch, and it was very comfortable for binge watching on the very large TV in the living room. All of the roomy bedrooms and bathrooms are well designed and a pleasure to stay in and use. The beds were very comfortable, and the bedding was of high quality. The house was VERY clean and well maintained. We felt very safe at this property. The complimentary bicycles, beach chairs and umbrella set up were a nice touch. The house is fantastic! Views from all main areas are incredible, and the walk to the beach is much shorter than the ones we've stayed in previously! The house was well equipped with everything you need, and rooms are very comfortable. We had a wonderful family vacation with four different families staying together and it worked out very well! Tons of room for storing your clothes and they've thought of everything you might need. Just bring your toothbrush and swim suit!

Wonderful stay at Ashore Thing

The house was immaculate and vacation-friendly! The views were amazing, we spied dolphins each day! Having our own bit of private beach was such a blessing. We loved the open floor plan for the common areas. There was plenty of parking for our vehicles, and plenty of storage and closet space. We loved the private outdoor shower just outside the large laundry room. We will recommend this to our friends!

We loved our stay at Ashore Thing! Everything was perfect! The house is beautiful, love the layout and the views from the house are amazing! We had 5 adults, 2 teenagers, and 2 little ones and never felt like we were on top of one another! The kitchen has everything you need to cook meals at the house. I would only fix two things: 1) There are no lights on the back porch, a light would be nice. 2) The bedrooms need blackout curtains! We were awake with the sun every day! We like to sleep in or at least until 8 on vacation and that did not happen one time. Other than that we had the best time and plan to book again for next year!

It is a little far away from restaurants, etc. if you are walking, but that is not a problem for us.The bedrooms are perfect for two families or a group of friends. Excellent week in an excellent house

Our group consisted of 6 adults and 5 children ages 3-8. We've been taking family beach trips for over 30 years and everyone agreed this place was among the top 3 or 4 we've rented. Not a huge space but very well laid out and appointed with a minimum of kitsch. Outstanding view, very close to beach. The stairs down (and back up!) are long but the height amplifies the view. Kitchen has great counters, good pots and pans, plenty of utensils and tableware. Knives were mediocre, but anyone who rents a beach place and likes to cook in, knows to bring a couple of sharp knives from home.A fourth bath would have been ideal but floor plan was still good. Whoever sleeps in the room without a bath goes across the hall and tends to share with however many children you have in the double bunk room. Bunk room functioned very well. No windows to let in light, so instead of first up the children were often among the last.Comfortable beds, big ocean-facing deck (though maybe a little short on shade), outdoor hot water shower were some other plusses.The beach was crowded in comparison to places along the north Gulf that seriously restrict building heights and condo size. However, if you enjoy going out in the evenings, having more people in the area means there'll be more restaurants, bars, and other diversions.All in all, an excellent week in an excellent house.

Walk in to immediate, dramatic beach view even from front door! Grandparents could actually sit inside or on porch and watch ocean. Great open floor layout. Worked well for 6 adults (38 to 72) and 6 kids (1.5 to 10). Beach was not crowded at all. We were able to use a canopy. Could leave things at bottom of stairs at end of day. Maintenance responded to outside water problem (which turned out to be a false alarm) within 15 minutes!! Only issue was red flags on the beach for several days. Didn't expect gulf to be so rough! Go to Fonville Press for coffee. Kids loved Sugar Shack.

We went to AShore Thing for our family vacation. We had 3 couples and 2 kids. This was a great house right on the beach! Our portion of the beach was much less crowded than down near the condos and public access! The well stocked spacious kitchen allows for some great cooking. The rooms are nicely separated to allow for privacy. We loved the large deck, shaded area, and outdoor shower. The only small issues we had were the bedroom blinds do not block the light. The sun woke us up every morning before 7am! Other than that, it would be nice to have more than 1 kitchen towel. We had to go buy some at Walmart. You definitely need to bring your own beach towels! The hooks for bathing suits and towels in the utility room and in the hall were perfect! We liked this house and would stay there again!

Woke up to picturebook sunrises, listening to the waves roll in

It has been our experience reviews and pictures rarely match our expectations. In this instance, not only were our lofty expectations met but exceeded. We are a loud, busy group. However, each morning we opened the sliding glass doors, allowed the sounds of the ocean to enter the unit, drank our coffee and absorbed the sunrise in almost complete silence. It was far too beautiful to interrupt with words.The management company was outstanding. The unit was in terrific shape. The floorplan accommodated our three families well (5 adults/2 teens). The central living area is well suited for gatherings. The home directly overlooks the beach along the entire large kitchen, dining, living, and master bedroom with direct access to the beach from the attached wrap around patio/deck.The location was ideal. The beach was quiet and beautiful. The ocean is gorgeous in this area - multiple shades of blue customarily reserved for Caribbean destinations. Even outside the landscaping and layout allowed privacy. The country highway in front of the property was busy, but you wouldn't know it inside the unit or on deck. The home sits back in a large lot, and the front door is at least a hundred feet from the road. Upscale shopping, groceries, and dining were no more than 10 to 20 minutes drive in either direction.Next time we head to the area, we'll look for this property again.

The house was very clean and nice. The layout and floor plan was very well thought out. The many hooks along hallways and in the laundry room! A++ for hanging all the towels and wet gear daily. Great outdoor shower. Loved the updated amenities and the bicycles that came with the home. The 2 things I would pass along as the only cons for this property are; the open floor plan and beautiful terrazzo floors make for a loud sound level with a group(or kids), and the modern open lighting is great for sunny Florida except in the bedrooms. There could be better shades on the bedroom windows and some small ones have none. Other than those two small issues this property was fabulous, beach was beautiful as always on 30a. Would recommend this house.

Annual Mother's Day Vacay

Beyond pleased!!! The view right when you first walk in took my breathe away. We had 4 families (one took the twin bunk room) and we really had plenty of room for everyone! The kids had an amazing time for so many different reason, space to play and location being the main reasons! Being able to shower outside was easy clean up for parents and fun for the kids. The view was just perfection. The attention to detail was impressive too! Royal Destinations really impressed us with the Aveda products and the presentation of the rooms/bathrooms. I would look into replacing the grill, the bottom was pretty much rusted away and only one of the burners work. Thats easy to fix and wouldnt ever stop us from coming back. We appreciate the hospitality and thank you for allowing us to enjoy your home. We have found our Annual Mother's Day home! See you next year.

Fiesta Rehearsal dinner

My son got married May 6th in Seaside, with Cinco DE Mayo the day before his wedding we decided on a Fiesta on the beach for his rehersal dinner; only it was too windy so we had to set up tables on the beautiful balcony overlooking the beach.The party was wonderful but, beyond the party this was such a wonderful place to continue our family vacation after the wedding. The open layout of the kitchen, dinning room, and living room was amazing! And let me just take a minute to emphasize the kitchen it was supplied with everything we needed and the storage space was wonderful. My family and I have decided to make this our go-to yearly destination house! I would not change anything except maybe next time a longer stay!

visit to Ashore Thing

We had an amazing time at this beautiful beach cottage. Unlike so many other "on the beach" houses on 30a where you can see the beach but have to walk quite some ways to a beach access, this one is truly ON the beach. The house was clearly renovated recently and it is beautiful inside. The only caution is that the flooring is quite smooth and gets a bit slippery when wet, and since at a beach house there's no way to avoid some water being tracked in, one of our party took a hard fall. (I would be careful of having elderly people in the party.) But that doesn't change the fact that we absolutely LOVED this place and had an amazing time!

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Ashore thing. You cannot beat the view!! Beach access was perfect, and it was great having the bikes as well. My only negative is the sofa is old and dingy. We would definitely stay again.

Ashore Thing was the perfect place for our vacation. The house was clean, uncluttered and had everything we needed. The house is very spacious and all one level, so it was great for my mom who couldn't do steps. The views were unbelievable. We felt like we had our own private beach! It was a little chilly when we were there, but it was perfect on the back deck. We spent most of the days on the deck and felt like we were right by the water. The location was great and convenient to many shops and restaurants. Royal Beach Rentals was great to work with. We will be back!

The house is right on the beach with spectacular views! Plenty of room. The feel of the house is more mid-century modern than beach cottage. The huge windows and sliding doors give panoramic views that are fabulous. The outdoor shower has hot water and is right beside the door to the laundry area - very convenient with children! The rental management company was terrific! Very responsive, helpful, and easy to reach even during the week between Christmas and New Year's.We would definitely return!

Our stay at Ashore Thing was fantastic. We rented the house for 2 weeks and were delighted over the location and the house. The house is spacious, clean and modern. The view of the gulf from the house is spectacular and the best attribute of the house. We loved getting the bikes, chairs and umbrellas as part of our rental. I would recommend the owner add area rugs to dining room, bedrooms and side seating area. I would also recommend they close in the outdoor shower for privacy. We wanted to bring our little dog down with us and offered a sizable deposit and additional rent however the owner declined. We would likely come back year after year if the owners allowed pets. I would happily recommend this house to family and friends.

In summary, it was an exquisite experience. The house is comfortable, well maintained, picturesque, and the beach view is simply the best. Easy access to Rosemary Beach shops/restaurants (our kids loved Sugar Shack). This was by far one of the most relaxing vacations we have ever taken; wish we could have stayed longer... This gorgeous home housed 8 of us and a baby. We had a blast. It is missing nothing. The location is perfect. Being right on the quiet beach with the fabulous deck...outstanding. We have rented many houses on 30A and this one was tops by far. And the view..couldn't get any better. Having the beach chairs and the bikes to ride to Rosemary was super too. I hope we have the opportunity to rent this house again in the future.

Amazing Girls Retreat!

My girlfriends and I had an incredible time at Ashore Thing! The location was perfect, and the beach wasn't busy in front of the house. There's also a surprisingly large front yard! We did have an issue with a breaker the first day, but maintenance came out and fixed it right away. The outdoor shower was AWESOME, and there was plenty of space in the house and on the back porch. We had a wonderful time and hope to come back in the future!
