When entering the doors at Ashore Thing, you will be amazed by the emerald views that span from the kitchen, dining, gathering, and sitting rooms. The views continue to the front master king bedroom. This beautiful home has the perfect floor plan to accommodate multiple families, a few couples, or a friend group looking for the perfect getaway. There is room for everyone! As you enter the foyer and proceed to the main living space, you will see the kitchen and dining room on the left, a sitting room and master suite on the right, a bunk room on the right and a gorgeous deck that runs the length of the house. Directly off the deck is the private beach access. On one end of the house is a grilling cove, and on the other, a private outdoor shower that leads into the laundry/changing room.

The Timpoochee Trail bike path connects all the villages of 30A. Be sure to take your bike out and explore! Great House and Location

The house was really nice and in a great location. Beautiful beach goes without saying and the even the rare front lawn was pretty impressive and lush. Nice well appointed kitchen (we cook a lot), great outdoor shower to wash the sand off, and plenty of shade and seating on the impressive deck. Very few downsides, Beds were not the most comfortable and if you have older people in your party the steps to the beach might be a bit much for them but that's about the only negatives.

The house is fantastic! Views from all main areas are incredible, and the walk to the beach is much shorter than the ones we've stayed in previously! The house was well equipped with everything you need, and rooms are very comfortable. We had a wonderful family vacation with four different families staying together and it worked out very well! Tons of room for storing your clothes and they've thought of everything you might need. Just bring your toothbrush and swim suit!

Wonderful stay at Ashore Thing

The house was immaculate and vacation-friendly! The views were amazing, we spied dolphins each day! Having our own bit of private beach was such a blessing. We loved the open floor plan for the common areas. There was plenty of parking for our vehicles, and plenty of storage and closet space. We loved the private outdoor shower just outside the large laundry room. We will recommend this to our friends!

enjoyable but no wifi

only one major problem-no wifi for the stay. attempts were made to fix but were unsuccessful. one minor problem-no air conditioning the last day. Royal Destinations attempted to help and were professional and polite. But were unsuccessful in their efforts.

We'll be back!

We loved our stay at Ashore Thing! Everything was perfect! The house is beautiful, love the layout and the views from the house are amazing! We had 5 adults, 2 teenagers, and 2 little ones and never felt like we were on top of one another! The kitchen has everything you need to cook meals at the house. I would only fix two things: 1) There are no lights on the back porch, a light would be nice. 2) The bedrooms need blackout curtains! We were awake with the sun every day! We like to sleep in or at least until 8 on vacation and that did not happen one time. Other than that we had the best time and plan to book again for next year!

We have stayed here 5 years in a row, and we could not be happier. It is a little far away from restaurants, etc. if you are walking, but that is not a problem for us.The bedrooms are perfect for two families or a group of friends. We love the back that opens up right to the beach. The property managers are very good and deal with things very promptly. We have had a wonderful experience every year. We had an absolute perfect stay. First, the home was thoughtfully designed and furnished to meet all of our needs. Second, the home has unrivaled views and it is on a perfect stretch of 30A. Close to the restaurants and shops, yet far enough away to get lots of privacy on the beach. I would stay here again in a heartbeat if we get the opportunity.

We loved almost everything about Ashore Thing! We made so many great memories there. There were 8 of us (5 adults and 3 children) and we had plenty of room. Spent most of our time on the beach or back deck admiring the views. The views were amazing! It might be time to update some of the furniture in the living room, other than that we loved it! Hopefully we get to stay at Ashore Thing again!

Excellent week in an excellent house

Our group consisted of 6 adults and 5 children ages 3-8. We've been taking family beach trips for over 30 years and everyone agreed this place was among the top 3 or 4 we've rented. Not a huge space but very well laid out and appointed with a minimum of kitsch. Outstanding view, very close to beach. The stairs down (and back up!) are long but the height amplifies the view. Kitchen has great counters, good pots and pans, plenty of utensils and tableware. Knives were mediocre, but anyone who rents a beach place and likes to cook in, knows to bring a couple of sharp knives from home.A fourth bath would have been ideal but floor plan was still good. Whoever sleeps in the room without a bath goes across the hall and tends to share with however many children you have in the double bunk room. Bunk room functioned very well. No windows to let in light, so instead of first up the children were often among the last.Comfortable beds, big ocean-facing deck (though maybe a little short on shade), outdoor hot water shower were some other plusses.The beach was crowded in comparison to places along the north Gulf that seriously restrict building heights and condo size. However, if you enjoy going out in the evenings, having more people in the area means there'll be more restaurants, bars, and other diversions.All in all, an excellent week in an excellent house.

Best house and location out of 6 beach vacations!

Walk in to immediate, dramatic beach view even from front door! Grandparents could actually sit inside or on porch and watch ocean. Great open floor layout. Worked well for 6 adults (38 to 72) and 6 kids (1.5 to 10). Beach was not crowded at all. We were able to use a canopy. Could leave things at bottom of stairs at end of day. Maintenance responded to outside water problem (which turned out to be a false alarm) within 15 minutes!! Only issue was red flags on the beach for several days. Didn't expect gulf to be so rough! Go to Fonville Press for coffee. Kids loved Sugar Shack.

We went to AShore Thing for our family vacation. We had 3 couples and 2 kids. This was a great house right on the beach! Our portion of the beach was much less crowded than down near the condos and public access! The well stocked spacious kitchen allows for some great cooking. The rooms are nicely separated to allow for privacy. We loved the large deck, shaded area, and outdoor shower. The only small issues we had were the bedroom blinds do not block the light. The sun woke us up every morning before 7am! Other than that, it would be nice to have more than 1 kitchen towel. We had to go buy some at Walmart. You definitely need to bring your own beach towels! The hooks for bathing suits and towels in the utility room and in the hall were perfect! We liked this house and would stay there again!

It has been our experience reviews and pictures rarely match our expectations. In this instance, not only were our lofty expectations met but exceeded. We are a loud, busy group. However, each morning we opened the sliding glass doors, allowed the sounds of the ocean to enter the unit, drank our coffee and absorbed the sunrise in almost complete silence. It was far too beautiful to interrupt with words.The management company was outstanding. The unit was in terrific shape. The floorplan accommodated our three families well (5 adults/2 teens). The central living area is well suited for gatherings. The home directly overlooks the beach along the entire large kitchen, dining, living, and master bedroom with direct access to the beach from the attached wrap around patio/deck.The location was ideal. The beach was quiet and beautiful. The ocean is gorgeous in this area - multiple shades of blue customarily reserved for Caribbean destinations. Even outside the landscaping and layout allowed privacy. The country highway in front of the property was busy, but you wouldn't know it inside the unit or on deck. The home sits back in a large lot, and the front door is at least a hundred feet from the road. Upscale shopping, groceries, and dining were no more than 10 to 20 minutes drive in either direction.Next time we head to the area, we'll look for this property again.

The house was very clean and nice. The layout and floor plan was very well thought out. The many hooks along hallways and in the laundry room! A++ for hanging all the towels and wet gear daily. Great outdoor shower. Loved the updated amenities and the bicycles that came with the home. The 2 things I would pass along as the only cons for this property are; the open floor plan and beautiful terrazzo floors make for a loud sound level with a group(or kids), and the modern open lighting is great for sunny Florida except in the bedrooms. There could be better shades on the bedroom windows and some small ones have none. Other than those two small issues this property was fabulous, beach was beautiful as always on 30a. Would recommend this house.

Beyond pleased!!! The view right when you first walk in took my breathe away. We had 4 families (one took the twin bunk room) and we really had plenty of room for everyone! The kids had an amazing time for so many different reason, space to play and location being the main reasons! Being able to shower outside was easy clean up for parents and fun for the kids. The view was just perfection. The attention to detail was impressive too! Royal Destinations really impressed us with the Aveda products and the presentation of the rooms/bathrooms. I would look into replacing the grill, the bottom was pretty much rusted away and only one of the burners work. Thats easy to fix and wouldnt ever stop us from coming back. We appreciate the hospitality and thank you for allowing us to enjoy your home. We have found our Annual Mother's Day home! See you next year.

Fiesta Rehearsal dinner

My son got married May 6th in Seaside, with Cinco DE Mayo the day before his wedding we decided on a Fiesta on the beach for his rehersal dinner; only it was too windy so we had to set up tables on the beautiful balcony overlooking the beach.The party was wonderful but, beyond the party this was such a wonderful place to continue our family vacation after the wedding. The open layout of the kitchen, dinning room, and living room was amazing! And let me just take a minute to emphasize the kitchen it was supplied with everything we needed and the storage space was wonderful. My family and I have decided to make this our go-to yearly destination house! I would not change anything except maybe next time a longer stay!

We had an amazing time at this beautiful beach cottage. Unlike so many other "on the beach" houses on 30a where you can see the beach but have to walk quite some ways to a beach access, this one is truly ON the beach. The house was clearly renovated recently and it is beautiful inside. The only caution is that the flooring is quite smooth and gets a bit slippery when wet, and since at a beach house there's no way to avoid some water being tracked in, one of our party took a hard fall. (I would be careful of having elderly people in the party.) But that doesn't change the fact that we absolutely LOVED this place and had an amazing time!

Ashore Thing was the perfect place for our vacation. The house was clean, uncluttered and had everything we needed. The house is very spacious and all one level, so it was great for my mom who couldn't do steps. The views were unbelievable. We felt like we had our own private beach! It was a little chilly when we were there, but it was perfect on the back deck. We spent most of the days on the deck and felt like we were right by the water. The location was great and convenient to many shops and restaurants. Royal Beach Rentals was great to work with. We will be back!

The house is right on the beach with spectacular views! Plenty of room. The feel of the house is more mid-century modern than beach cottage. The huge windows and sliding doors give panoramic views that are fabulous. The outdoor shower has hot water and is right beside the door to the laundry area - very convenient with children! The rental management company was terrific! Very responsive, helpful, and easy to reach even during the week between Christmas and New Year's.We would definitely return!

Our stay at Ashore Thing was fantastic. We rented the house for 2 weeks and were delighted over the location and the house. The house is spacious, clean and modern. The view of the gulf from the house is spectacular and the best attribute of the house. We loved getting the bikes, chairs and umbrellas as part of our rental. I would recommend the owner add area rugs to dining room, bedrooms and side seating area. I would also recommend they close in the outdoor shower for privacy. We wanted to bring our little dog down with us and offered a sizable deposit and additional rent however the owner declined. We would likely come back year after year if the owners allowed pets. I would happily recommend this house to family and friends.

We loved the house; the views were absolutely amazing! The house was perfect for our family of 5 and the beach was gorgeous. We didn't have any problems whatsoever the entire week. The grocery delivery service was an excellent option. Michael did a great job providing us beach chairs, paddleboards, and bikes, and everyone at the office was wonderful as always!

In summary, it was an exquisite experience. The house is comfortable, well maintained, picturesque, and the beach view is simply the best. Easy access to Rosemary Beach shops/restaurants (our kids loved Sugar Shack). This was by far one of the most relaxing vacations we have ever taken; wish we could have stayed longer... A huge thanks to the owners of this property for making it available for rent!

PERFECT IN EVERY WAY!

This gorgeous home housed 8 of us and a baby. We had a blast. It is missing nothing. The location is perfect. Being right on the quiet beach with the fabulous deck...outstanding. We have rented many houses on 30A and this one was tops by far. And the view..couldn't get any better. Having the beach chairs and the bikes to ride to Rosemary was super too. I hope we have the opportunity to rent this house again in the future.

Overall, a good experience. There were a could of minor issues with the house however. The outside shower's water comes from well water and the well pump failed and was not repaired while we were there. The bunk beds also had some integrity issues that were addressed by the management company immediately.

Amazing Girls Retreat!

My girlfriends and I had an incredible time at Ashore Thing! The location was perfect, and the beach wasn't busy in front of the house. There's also a surprisingly large front yard! We did have an issue with a breaker the first day, but maintenance came out and fixed it right away. The outdoor shower was AWESOME, and there was plenty of space in the house and on the back porch. We had a wonderful time and hope to come back in the future!
