Paddle Board on a Dune Lake
For more outdoor adventures, grab a paddle board and head to one of the coastal dune lakes found along 30A. Believe it or not, coastal dune lakes only occur in a handful of locations around the world, and South Walton has fifteen of them! The freshwater of the dune lakes occasionally flows in an outfall to the salty Gulf creating a unique brackish environment that merges the two together, doubling as a rare environmental occurrence and a perfect place to practice paddling.
Bike Around Town
If you prefer pedaling over paddling, rent a bike to ride around as you explore the many different 30A communities. Each community is incredibly unique and the best way to experience them all is with your feet on the pedals!
