Visit a Farmers Market
We enjoy spending a fall day when the weather is crisp at the local farmers' market; the atmosphere is always lively and you can find fresh local fruit and vegetables at good prices.
Since there are often local artisans at various markets, it's a good idea to begin your holiday shopping early. Autumn is ideal for browsing seasonal fruit and vegetables, handmade products, and unusual gifts while supporting local businesses. You will find our favorite 30A farmers' markets on our blog.
Enjoy a Bonfire on the Beach
What could be cozier than curling up next to a beachside bonfire? It's the perfect fall activity on 30A. Cool sea breezes, crackling flames, and toasting s'mores create an unforgettable evening on the shore. A permit is required for beach bonfires on 30A, so we suggest letting a local company handle it for you. They’ll take care of everything, so you can enjoy a safe and stress-free evening without worrying about setup or cleanup. We partner with La Dolce Vita for concierge services, including great options for a beach bonfire. Just relax and let us take care of the details.
Explore Grayton Beach State Park in the Fall
You may not be able to go leaf-peeping on 30A, but you can still get some quality outdoor time in! Grayton Beach State Park is one of our favorite places to spend a fall day on 30A. The scenic pathways provide a perfect setting to enjoy the gorgeous fall weather and get your steps in.
As you hike, you might spot deer, gray foxes, sea turtles, and many types of birds. The cooler fall weather makes exploring the park’s trails even better.
Search for Shells
30A’s beaches are quieter in the fall, so you can really take your time exploring and relaxing by the water. You’ll enjoy peaceful moments and might find hidden treasures along the shore, like unique seashells or sea glass. Early morning walks are especially rewarding after the tides bring in new finds.
Bike the Timpoochee Trail on 30A
Fall's mild temperatures make it the perfect time to set out on a bike ride on 30A. One of our favorite trails is the Timpoochee Trail, which stretches over 19 miles. Of course, you don't have to ride the whole trail if you're not up for it. The trail runs parallel to Scenic Highway 30A and connects many of the area's charming beach communities.
Luckily, there are plenty of bike rentals to choose from on the many different beaches of 30A. It's a super bike-friendly area, so you'll see many fellow riders out along the trails and roads. Grab your helmet, hop on your bike, and go!
Catch a Gulf Coast Sunset
Watching the sunset is one of the best and simplest things to do on 30A in the fall. The comfortable weather and smaller crowds make evenings on the beach extra special. Bring a blanket, stroll along the shore, or just relax with loved ones as the sky glows with orange, pink, and purple over the Gulf.
Attend Popular Fall Events on 30A

From the Seeing Red Wine Festival to the annual Turkey Day 10K, everyone will find something they love! Fall is a lively season on 30A, with annual events for food, wine, art, music, and outdoor fun.
